So how much do you know about the world of casino? Most people wonder which city in the United States of America has more casinos… any answer? Did you think New York did? Were you planning for a New York break then… a little change! The answer is not New York but the beautiful city of night life and casino, Las Vegas. If you have a gambler hidden in you who would love to gamble a little and have the best time of their life then a Las Vegas holiday is a must!

Las Vegas was originally found and named in 1905 but its importance came into the American list of cities in 1911 only. It was almost a century ago that Las Vegas was undergoing a formation of a city. This beautiful city was named by a party or rather a group of Spaniards. The great Spanish – Mexican explorer, Antonio Armijo, will be remembered as the sole founder of the original city of Las Vegas. It was during the 1800s when Antonio Armijo with his party was traveling(Traveling With Children Made Easy) from New Mexico to Los Angeles, California with a hope to form a trade route between the two big cities. It was during this time that Antonio named the valley that he was crossing and whose water he and his commercial caravan has used as “Las Vegas” where Vegas means “alluvial plain” in Spanish. The path that Armijo and his party took is called the great Las Vegas strip which originally was taken by following a tributary of the Colorado River upwards.
